Course Requirements: We WILL NOT be teaching
TCIP/IP, basic Routing, and or Subnetting! These are a
requirement for the course. You should understand how subnets
work, how to subnet, basic routing, etc. You should have an
understanding of common TCP/IP ports, ARPs and broadcast domains. We
will also not be teaching basic wireless information, such as what
802.11b is, etc, you should have a knowledge and understanding of
basic wireless RF principals, as well as basic wireless
configurations. Test Registration: Please
register your username at
http://training.mikrotik.com, you will need this to take tests
at the end of the course.
What is included: We will be presenting on as
many aspects of RouterOS as possible. Focusing on core usages
and features. The presentation will offer several segments and
breaks that you can use to try out features and configurations.
We will not be designing complete networks or offer huge hand-on
labs until the presentation material is concluded. This
presentation style will educate you on the topics that pertain to
the courses. We will also have a single Router Board for every
student to train with, these will be available for purchase.
Internet access will be given in the room, free of charge. On
Friday, we will register and take up to 4 certification courses,
note that you MUST have at least a 70% to pass your tests.
These tests will be conducted on-line via training.mikrotik.com.
Please register prior to coming to the course.
You will be provided a binder with a complete listing of all
slides. This binder may be created prior to the final
presentation material. Digital copies of the presentation will

What you need to bring:
Just like any training, we will assist you in providing a
demo/training router. You will need the following hardware:
Laptop, Serial Cable with Null Modem (please test prior to
coming), At least one Ethernet cable a few feet long, and a Power
strip!
Hotel Expenses: Hotel rooms are not
provided in the included price. The hotel will have a coupon

Food and Drinks: The Hotel along with Link
Technologies, Inc, will provide fresh Fruit, along with coffee, tea,
water, and soda throughout the day. Please note that
lunches may be pre-arranged. Each day should be something
different, but there will not be a menu. It should
include a salad, main course, sides. Drinks will be served,
again, soda, tea, coffee.
Dinners: We will provide dinner one or two
nights during the week. These will be off-site of the hotel,
transportation will be provided, but if you have a car/truck, you
are more than welcome to drive as well. Local BBQ as
well as a trip to the Link Technologies, Jeffco SOHO Offices will be
offered.
Other Things to do in St. Louis: Family
Fun: St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis Arch, St. Louis Science Center.
Attractions closer to the hotel: Magic House, Grants Farm, and
Six Flags. Hot Shots Bar is also down the road, Poor
Richards as well is within a few miles.
In the area: Bandanas BBQ and Denny's are
both RIGHT NEXT to the hotel. Up the road is Quzinos,
McDonalds, White Castle.
